NorthEastern SWUGS
Welcome to the Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts
SolidWorks User Group (RISOMA-SWUG). There are many
benefits in joining this user group and it's free to join. There will be food and prizes at every meeting as well as informative guest speakers and presentations. ALL are welcome.

Ever wonder where the SolidWorks "Guru" at work gets his tips and tricks? Do you wish you were that "Guru"? Want to learn the things that they don't teach you in core classes? Then, you guessed it, come to a RISOMA-SWUG meeting.

The Presentations have been confirmed. The first will be "Toolbox".  This is your chance to learn and customize this add-in once and for all.  This will be followed by "Tips and Tricks" with some "Speedpak" discussion towards the end.

Nordson EFD has offered to the group a tour of the facility before the meeting. If you are interested, the tour will begin around 5:00PM and it should only last 45 minutes.

Again, If you have not received any emails recently, please send a quick note to risomaswug@gmail.com so I can add you to the mailing list.

July 8, 2010
I have started sending emails out to the group this past week. These emails discuss the current status of the next meeting. If you have not received any emails recently, please send a quick note to risomaswug@gmail.com so I can add you to the mailing list.

A single username and password has been sent out to the group for the 'members only' section of the webpage. This area is not currently being maintained. We will be deciding in the coming weeks whether or not there is a need to keep it available. The 'member list' has been removed due to privacy concerns.

The "Directions to Meeting" link has been updated. Also check out the new form for the "Submit a Question" page.

June 18, 2010
We are working on a location for the next user group meeting.  If successful, the meeting will be in East Providence and the date will be the end of July.  R&D Technologies will be hosting the event.  This will be the first time R&D has hosted a user group meeting so needless to say we are very grateful and excited to have them as a sponsor.

I will be adding a couple of links to the site.  One will be for surveys and the other for volunteer work.  The surveys will consist of topic suggestions, etc...  If you have a suggestion for a survey please send me an email.  The volunteer work link will include a list of tasks that anyone willing to take charge of can work on.

The North Eastern SolidWorks User Conference has been scheduled for:
Friday, September 17th 2010 7:00am to 6:00pm
Westford Regency Inn & Conference Center: Westford, MA
If you can, please make plans to attend. It's a great event.

Our last meeting was held at Sensata Technologies with CADDEdge presenting.  Thanks to Sensata and CADDEdge for a great meeting.  Even thought it was scheduled on short notice we had a decent turn out.  Thanks to all who attended.
